Kudermetova started the year with an appearance in the Finals of the Abu Dhabi Open 2021, in which she lost to Aryna Sabalenka. Since then her form has been ok on the tour. On the clay court swing of the tour, Kudermetova seems to be a completely new player. Currently she is on a 9 match winning streak which includes a trophy win at the Charleston Open. At Istanbul she has already had three victories.
