Ryan Blaney sports the No.12 Ford Mustang for Team Penske competing for full-time as a Cup Series driver and he emerged successful in acquiring a P2 at the starting grid for this week’s much-awaited NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway, this pole came after battling with JGR‘s Kyle Busch with the new format.
He has had a pretty decent so far with six top 10s and his other outings being spread across the grid with the least being P26 at Dover Motor Speedway and his best outing being P4 and couldn’t manage to finish the race at Pennzoil 400 in Las Vegas.
He succeeded at posting a lap time that was among the top 8 which then qualified for the elimination with a pit-stop race and then a one-lap dash to decide the starting grid. With a P2 start at the iconic All-Star Race, he’s looking forward to winning and taking home the 1Million USD prize money.

Ryan Blaney found the new and revamped format of the Iconic All-Star Race pretty exciting and he shared his thoughts saying that the pit crew has to be prepared for it and that it largely depends on their skills, and all he had to do was not shackle, he further added saying that he has a positive opinion on it because he did good and said it would’ve been different otherwise.
“It was decent, I guess. It was better than doing nothing. It puts a big emphasis on the pit crew, those guys, and their skillset. Our only job is to not stall it from getting to the box and stop on the sign. I am saying it is good because it worked out decent for us. If it went bad for us, I would be saying the opposite,” said Ryan Blaney.
He concluded by saying that it was an exclusive experience and was happy with how his crew and team worked for that spot, He further added that he believed his pit stop was better than the No.18. But he wishes he could get a chance to choose his lane but ended up not succeeding at it, and is content with the position he’s in.
“It was unique and I thought our guys did a good job. Yeah, I thought our stop was honestly a little faster than his. We got hurt on the lane choice there. I thought the bottom was better but we aren’t in a bad spot for tomorrow,” concluded Ryan Blaney.
Despite being unsatisfied with not achieving the pole, will Ryan Blaney still succeed at taking home the All-Star Race victory along with the humongous cash prize of 1Million USD?
