Rafael Nadal has been in terrific form this week beating his opponents with ease and never looking like he had been out of tennis for over 9 months. Rafael Nadal has made an amazing return on clay winning his first two round matches in a comfortable manner. After receiving a bye in the 1st round, in his comeback match against US Open semifinalist Pablo Carreno Busta in the 2nd round, he defeated the fellow Spaniard with relative ease 6-1, 6-1 in two straight sets. In the 3rd round on Friday, he defeated the Serbian Dusan Lajovic in another comfortable two sets victory.
Diego Schwartzman has also been impressive this week. He too like Nadal received a bye in the 1st round, defeated John Millman in a tough straight-sets victory before getting past Hubert Hurkacz in a thrilling 3 set victory in the 3rd round. After dropping the first set against Hurkacz, the Argentine came racing back claiming the next two sets in an impressive fashion and setting up a quarterfinal clash with Rafael Nadal.
