After a betting scandal followed by transfer rumors linking him to several top clubs across Europe, Ivan Toney has finally made a decision on his future. The 28-year-old has parted ways with Premier League club Brentford and signed a lucrative deal with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli.

Toney has been linked with a move to several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea. However, the move to Saudi Arabia is not surprising given the mouth-watering details of his contract. It is understood that Toney will pocket more than £330,000 per week, which amounts to more than £16 million in a year. He has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, with Brentford being paid a sum of £40 million for his services.

A supporter laughed at how the player was expecting a move to either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid but ended up with Al-Ahli. On the other hand, a fan claimed that Toney wouldn’t have a single care in the world after securing a deal worth £50 million. Pointing to his betting scandal, a fan joked that he must’ve bet on himself to join Arsenal.

Toney was recorded ignoring a reporter questioning his excitement to join the Saudi club. This eventually led to all the chatter and discussion as to him being disappointed with the transfer. With Toney’s arrival, Al-Ahli will have a formidable front three consisting of Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, and the Englishman.
