Ja Morant

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was out for the majority of last season due to a shoulder injury. In his absence the Grizzlies struggled heavily and failed to make it into the playoffs. Without Morant, the Grizzlies were completely forgotten and were even at the bottom of the table.

Recently Ja Morant was seen hosting a camp in Murray ahead of his HOF induction. In a quick chat with the media, Morant talked about his injury recovery, and stated that he was almost ready to return to his usual form in the next coming season.

I’m really fully [ready] to go, it’s just building endurance now. So if I had to pick a number, I'd say probably 75%, and I feel like that's still scary for whoever's in front of me.

Morant was the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft. He has certainly lived up to the expectations he came into the league with. He has shown his strong drive and great athleticism which even led to him winning the rookie of the year. Morant when healthy is a top 5 point guard in the league. He is one of the most explosive guards the league has ever seen after Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook.

Morant in his last season averaged 25.1 points, 8.1 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game. After which he was caught in a gun scandal that destroyed his reputation throughout the league. The scandal earned him a 25-game suspension. Ultimately Morant is done with the suspensions and is recovering and will be returning next season. Fans could expect the Grizzlies to make some noise next year.
