On Sunday before the Boston Bruins game against the Seattle Kraken at TD Garden, the Black and Gold jerseys honored Jack Edwards. It’s been almost two decades since Edwards became an integral part of the Bruins and has been a legendary play-by-play voice so far.

Unfortunately due to some issues, he had to retire following the 2023-24 season. Many noticed his once-energetic voice lacked the powerful delivery and humor as he turned 67. However, no medical exams revealed anything wrong physically.

I’m full of gratitude for the players, the organization, and the fans who have put the roof over my head for 19 years. And it’s truly an honor to have my family’s name on the wall of the booth where I made a living in a world class arena.

During Sunday’s media appearance, he once again clarified that the doctors are yet to figure out the reason behind his low energy.
