Jack “The Joker” Hermansson is one of the most dangerous fighters in the UFC’s middleweight division. He has defeated the likes of Jacare Souza, and even the former interim middleweight champion Kelvin Gastelum. Hermansson was on the verge of a title shot when he came up short against “The Italian Dream” Marvin Vettori.

In a recent interview with LowKickMMA, he talked about Vettori, and said, “I think we’re gonna meet again for sure. It was a good fight, we fought hard for five rounds, and it just didn’t go my way. Whatever it takes to get to that belt, whatever it takes.”

According to him that defeat came in as a blessing in disguise and taught him a lot. He is re-motivated to get back in the win column as he takes on Edmen Shahbazyan at UFC 262.

In the same interview he also talked about his fight with Edman, he said, “He’s a good opponent and a great standup fighter,” Hermansson said. “He’s a good challenge, but on the other hand I believe my style is a good match up against him. I feel very ready to fight.”

Jack also talked about the probability of facing the champion Israel Adesanya, in the future, if he can get this victory in his bag, then he’ll face the champion sometime soon.

“I’m probably the hardest matchup for him out there,” Hermansson said when asked about a future bout against Adesanya. “Blachowicz showed some weaknesses in his game, his bottom game is definitely not the best. If I can get on top of him, he’s in big trouble.”

But taking the champion down is easier said than done, so far Jan has been the only one to take him down.
