In the past few days, Jack Hughes‘ name has trended worldwide following his overtime winner against Team Canada, which sealed a gold medal for Team USA. On Friday, he saw his name being linked to marriage talks with an Indian tech mogul’s daughter. His agent would later clarify this and debunk these reports.
According to some reports from the Indian media, Hughes was getting married to Ayesha Arora, the daughter of Nikesh Arora, the CEO of Palo Alto Networks. As per the reports, the two of them were getting married in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
This caused a major shock on social media as Hughes was in the States. The New Jersey Devils star returned to his team and appeared in their games against the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Hughes’ agent Pat Brisson would clear the air regarding this. He would confirm to Forbes that his client is not getting married to the daughter of the Indian-American tech mogul.

This is just a case of mistaken identity. While there is a wedding taking place, NHL star Jack Hughes is not the groom and is not tying the knot today. In fact, he is scheduled to take part in the Devils’ game against the St. Louis Blues.

Jack Hughes reveals his brother Quinn Hughes reassured him about his missing teeth
Jack Hughes etched his name in American sports history with his golden goal against Canada on Sunday. His historic moment came with a heavy price as he lost his teeth after taking a major hit to his face. His older brother, Quinn Hughes, would later reassure him with a hilarious message.

It was in the third period when Hughes got smacked in the face. In an intense game, he got hit by the stick of Sam Bennett.
The play was stopped for a while as the younger Hughes lost two teeth and some blood. His brother Quinn, who had control of the puck during the delayed penalty, would look at him while the Devils star stared down on his broken teeth.
It was during the TV timeout that the Minnesota Wild star joked with his brother, perhaps trying to take his mind off the pain.
I’m like looking down at my teeth and Quinn’s the guy with the puck for the delayed penalty and he’s like he’s like looking at me and then at the TV timeout he comes up to me, he’s like it’s not that bad man. It’s only chipped. You’re good.

Hughes would then nail a shot for a $100k donation. The NHLer would play with the ball for a few seconds before pulling it straight into a target set by Pat McAfee and his crew.

Speaking of Hughes, he finished the Milano Cortina 2026 as the second-highest point scorer for Team USA with 7 points (4 goals and 3 assists). His brother, Quinn finished on top with 8 points (1 goal and 7 assists).
He has now turned his attention back to the NHL action. His team, the New Jersey Devils lost again on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
This loss was their 5th successive loss and the 7th in their last 8 games. This has seen their record go from 27-22-2 to 28-29-2 and sit 7th in the Metropolitan Division standings with 58 points from 59 games.
