The tennis off-season has started, and the players are either staying at home, enjoying quality time with their families, or going on vacations. Novak Djokovic, after visiting Bologna to pay tribute to his late mentor Nikola Pilic, recharged his batteries in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The Serb was one of the famous faces at the Lusail International Circuit for the Qatar Grand Prix, the season’s penultimate Formula 1 Grand Prix. Whether or not during the off-season, Djokovic also sang at karaoke with Jacob Collier, a musical prodigy from England. The 31-year-old, during an interview with The Guardian, revealed the memorable moment he shared with the 24-time Grand Slam champion.

This year, I had a surreal experience singing karaoke with Novak Djokovic, of all people. He wanted to sing Livin’ on a Prayer, by Bon Jovi, but he said he would only do it if I got up with him. So, we sang it in harmony: that was a memorable moment.

Djokovic finished the season with two ATP 250 titles, which he won at the Geneva Open and the Hellenic Championship. The 38-year-old also reached the Miami Open final, losing that match to Jakub Mensik.

At the Grand Slam events, he played every semifinal but failed to progress beyond that. An injury forced him to withdraw from the semifinal match he was playing against eventual runner-up Alexander Zverev at the Australian Open. At the French Open and Wimbledon, World No.2 Jannik Sinner knocked him out in straight sets, and he succumbed to a straight-set defeat to Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open.

He skipped the ATP Finals for the second consecutive time. The last time he won the year-end championship was in 2023 by defeating Sinner.

Patrick Mouratoglou slams critics for calling Novak Djokovic fake

Novak Djokovic, during his recent interview with Piers Morgan, talked about his brand deals. For him, his personal beliefs and values come first, and this often leads him to reject lucrative sponsorship deals because he is adamant about not endorsing something he doesn’t believe in. For this thinking, Serena Williams‘ former coach Patrick Mouratoglou lauded him, calling him authentic.

I know for a fact that he has turned down many deals over the years: because he didn’t believe in the product, because he didn’t align with the company’s values, because he didn’t think video games were good for kids, even if the contract was huge for instance… Whether you agree with his views or not doesn’t matter. What matters is that he acts according to them.

Patrick Mouratoglou wrote on LinkedIn

Djokovic has accumulated $191,252,375 from his tennis career, while from brand deals, he earns approximately $25 million per year, as per Forbes.

Djokovic last won a Big Title at the 2024 Paris Olympics by defeating Carlos Alcaraz. He doesn’t want to hang up his racket before the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Olga Danilovic on her relationship with Novak Djokovic

WTA ace from Serbia, Olga Danilovic, sat for an interview on the Tennis Insider Club podcast. There, among other things, she was asked about compatriot Djokovic.

He is very involved with Serbian tennis, I would say Balkan, he’s very open to us to speak about all the things. And when you’re young, and you have no idea what’s happening, you know, asking him and him giving you advice is very different.

Danilovic and Djokovic played mixed doubles last year at the United Cup and won it. But when they paired up for the mixed doubles at the US Open, the result ended in Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva‘s favor. The World No.67 failed to win a title this year.
