Jacob Misiorowski and the Milwaukee Brewers suffered a 3-0 loss against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. After the loss, the ace pitcher unloaded on Angel Stadium and slammed the conditions of the AL West team’s mound.

The NL Central leaders came into this game hoping to complete the sweep, having won 6-2 and 3-1 on Friday and Saturday, respectively. With “the Miz” on the mound, many expected the Brewers to make light work of the struggling Angels.

However, that did not turn out to be the case. While the pitcher gave up just 2 hits in 7 innings and picked up 10 strikeouts, the 2 hits he gave up turned out to be costly.

In the bottom of the 2nd inning, he first gave up a Vaughn Grissom. After Jo Adell lined out, Wade Meckler crushed a 2-run home run to right-center field. This was just the 11th home run allowed by the 24-year-old this season.

The Angels added another run in the 8th inning and won 3-0 despite having just 4 hits. The Brewers, on the other hand, had 5 hits but failed to put up any runs on the board.

After the game, Misiorowski unloaded on the conditions of the mound at Angel Stadium. In his conversation with the reporters, the right-handed pitcher claimed it was one of the worst mounds he had stepped on.

It was awful. It was probably one of the worst mounds I’ve had. It was dry; it was rock hard.

He later added that he was not using this as an excuse and needed to do better.

It is what it is and you can’t blame it on that. And I got to do my job.

Jacob Misiorowski added

With this loss, Misiorowski was left with a 11-5 record this season. He still has the lowest ERA among any pitcher at 1.63 in 21 starts.

As for the Angels, this is not the first time someone has called them out regarding their stadium. Last year, Yusei Kikuchi commented on the amenities of the stadium and claimed that the air conditioner in the weight room was broken.

Jacob Misiorowski shuts down reporter regarding trade deadline question

Jacob Misiorowski did not seem too interested in talking about the trade deadline. On Sunday, he quickly shut down a reporter who tried to raise a question regarding this.

The Milwaukee Brewers were one of the teams that were linked with a move for Tarik Skubal. With the 29-year-old in the final year of his deal, it was expected that he would be traded to one of the contenders.

On Saturday, Skubal was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 2-time defending champions boosted their chances of a historic 3-peat by landing Skubal and giving up 3 prospects to the Detroit Tigers. The Brewers thus failed to pair up Misiorowski with Skubal and form a formidable 1-2 pairing.

Following the game on Sunday, when a reporter tried to get a comment out of Misiorowski regarding the trade deadline, the pitcher shut him down and expressed that he was good. The reporter also tried to bring in the Dodgers, but he did not entertain the question.

I’m good. I’m good. I don’t want to answer it. I’m not even, yeah, I’m good. So you can just stop the question.

Jacob Misiorowski said as per Adam McCalvy

While the Brewers missed out on Skubal and passed up the opportunity to reunite with Freddy Peralta, they did bring in some new players. They acquired Bo Naylor and right-handed reliever Codi Heuer from the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for outfielder Blake Perkins and young reliever Craig Yoho.

They will now turn their attention towards their division rivals, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and face them in a 4-game series. Whether they will make any other trade moves or not remains to be seen.
