Ahead of last year’s Survivor Series PLE, Jade Cargill was taken out in a brutal backstage assault. Cargill had suffered multiple injuries, according to WWE, sidelining her out of action indefinitely. Since then, there have been several conflicting reports regarding Cargill’s status. Despite the uncertainty surrounding her return, Cargill has enjoyed her time off, going on vacation with her family.
Recently, The Storm took to Instagram to post photos of herself in a bikini relaxing by a beach. This photo drop came hours after PWInsider provided another update on her status. According to the outlet, Cargill is currently training in the Performance Center, preparing for her much-awaited return. Takedown on SI further added that Cargill is actively working to get cleared in time for WrestleMania 41. However, the nature of her injury is still unknown.
At the time of the attack, Cargill was one-half of the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Bianca Belair. Due to her injury, Cargill had to vacate her title, with Naomi replacing her weeks later. Since then, Belair and Naomi have worked behind the scenes to find out who had attacked and sidelined their friend from action.
The 32-year-old star has posted a few cryptic teases, with fans speculating extensively on the situation. Of course, many have suggested that either one Belair or Naomi could’ve been the ones behind the attack. Nonetheless, fans could soon learn the details behind the mystery attacker, with Jade Cargill expected to return anytime in the coming weeks.
Who will Jade Cargill face at WrestleMania 41?
A year back, Jade Cargill had officially made her WWE debut at the Royal Rumble. Entering at #27, Cargill left fans awestruck with her presentation and power inside the ring. Months later, Cargill competed at WrestleMania XL, teaming with Bianca Belair and Naomi to defeat Damage CTRL.
The former AEW wrestler instantly solidified herself as one of the women’s division’s biggest stars. As such, WWE most likely has significant plans for Cargill at this year’s WrestleMania as well. Among the available options for her, it seems that the 32-year-old star is headed for a program involving her attacker.
Whether it be Belair, Naomi, or an outside surprise, Cargill might compete in singles action against her attacker at WrestleMania. Elsewhere, Cargill could go after championship gold and possibly challenge Chelsea Green for the Women’s US Title.
