Former World Heavyweight Champion Jake Hager, f.k.a. Jack Swagger, left AEW earlier this year. Following his exit, Hager made an eye-brow-raising communist rant against Tony Khan. His comments have dragged him into controversy, leading to the cancellation of his upcoming appearance at Blitzkrieg Pro.
It was announced by the promotion itself that due to the controversial communist rant by Hager, they have decided to cancel his upcoming appearance on December 14. In fact, they also mentioned that even the promotion’s sponsors are not willing to work with Hager.
The former WWE star had a decent stint in AEW with Chris Jericho. During his time with the company, he had a few memorable bouts against the likes of Cody Rhodes. However, his appearances on AEW TV unsurprisingly diminished before he parted ways with the company.
Jake Hagar will no longer be appearing on December 14th in Enfield, CT.

On top of sponsors no longer being willing to work with him, we also just have to do what we think is right for our roster and fans.
We’re going to get to work on a replacement asap, however, a few people…
It will be intriguing to see how this controversy is going to affect the professional wrestling career of the 42-year-old. The latter was a controversial star even when he was in WWE. His run in the company was lackluster, including his infamous World Title reign in 2010.
Jake Hagar claimed Tony Khan threatened him to remain silent
Jack Hager has found himself embroiled in controversy for the past 48 hours or so. His comments have made waves all over the internet. On Monday night, Hager took to X to call Tony Khan a communist leader. Additionally, he also made a few other shocking statements that took the wrestling world by storm.
Taking it to X in a now deleted post, Hager claimed that Khan threatened to fire him unless he remained silent about promoting Donald Trump. The 42-year-old implicitly stated that he lost his AEW job due to his endorsement of Trump, and the AEW founder did not like that idea.

Fans called out the former WWE star, asking him to verify his comments. However, in response, he simply deleted those posts, leading to a massive void in the controversy. On the other hand, Khan has remained silent regarding any issues with Hager.
