The legendary boxer, Mike Tyson is set to return to the ring at the age of 58 against the celebrity boxer, Jake Paul. This will be the first time the largest streaming service in the world, Netflix, will host a fight on its platform. As such, the fight between them is expected to be one of the highest-rated combat sports events in history. Furthermore, Paul even believes that hundreds of millions of viewers will tune in.

The fight has met its fair share of criticism. Much of it focused on the 30-year age difference between the YouTube sensation and one of the sport’s most iconic fighters. However, the fight is set to take place in front of a sold-out crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

After their recent press conference in Texas, ‘The Problem Child’ Paul talked about his upcoming showdown with Tyson. Subsequently, the interviewer asked how many people Paul thought would be watching or attending the fight. Jake Paul appears to have high hopes for the fight and has predicted an astronomical number of viewers.

The stadium has a capacity of approximately 80,000 seats or 105,000 seats with standing room. Furthermore, Netflix has 269.6 million paid subscribers as of 2024. Hence, Paul’s prediction may come true.

Jake Paul speaks about his weight gain

The problem child did not just speak about the fight’s potential success but also spoke about his training camp. According to Paul, growing into a heavyweight has slowed him down in training. Furthermore, he has gained so much weight that he now weighs 230 pounds

This is about the same weight as former heavyweight champ, Anthony Joshua. He revealed that although gaining weight has enabled him to punch more, it has also made his cardio training more difficult to adapt to as he carries more weight around.

Many people think that Paul has a clear advantage in the fight. However, the young boxer does not think this even though Tyson is 30 years older than him. Since he considers him a formidable opponent and does not intend to go easy on him.
