It has been more than four years since Conor McGregor last stepped inside the UFC Octagon to compete professionally. Away from fighting, the ‘Notorious’ has focused entirely on his various business ventures, brand endorsements, and personal controversies. However, now the former UFC double champion has expressed his intention to make a comeback inside the cage once again.

This development happened after U.S. President Donald Trump officially announced the upcoming mega UFC event to be held at the White House. ‘Mystic Mac’ appeared to take things seriously, as he recently re-entered the official UFC testing pool for potential competition. He also shared a video of himself shadow boxing; however, the video prompted longtime rival Jake Paul to mock him publicly.

Bro just give it up Lol

The rivalry between Paul and McGregor began when Jake started calling out UFC fighters to boost his boxing career. He repeatedly insulted McGregor’s fighting skills, personal life, and business ventures to provoke a reaction and generate media attention worldwide. Despite numerous online exchanges and public challenges, the two never agreed on terms to make the high-profile fight happen.

Instead, the ‘Mystic Mac’ once showed interest in boxing Jake’s older brother, Logan Paul, under specific promotional circumstances and conditions. However, according to the former double champion, the UFC wasn’t supportive of negotiations and dismissed the potential bout entirely.

McGregor still reportedly has two remaining fights under his UFC contract that must be completed before exploring other opportunities. One of McGregor’s remaining UFC fights might happen during the historic event scheduled at the White House next year.

Meanwhile, Paul is reportedly in talks with former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua for a potential crossover mega fight. Fight fans remain skeptical about both events, questioning whether either star will genuinely follow through on their public commitments.

Conor McGregor uses AI to prove his innocence

In December 2018, Nikita Hand accused Conor McGregor of violently assaulting her in a Dublin hotel suite after partying. She alleged McGregor pinned her to the bed, pressing his full body weight against her so she couldn’t breathe or move. Despite the criminal case being dropped, she filed a civil lawsuit in 2021, seeking damages for physical and emotional trauma.

In November 2024, McGregor was found liable and ordered to pay around €250,000 in compensation, along with all legal fees. By July 2025, McGregor withdrew his appeal, effectively accepting the judgment, marking a major legal setback for the former champion. The fighter’s wife, Dee Devlin, has always denied the accusation. Recently, McGregor used X’s AI, Grok, which in a post proved the ‘Notorious’s innocence.

Thank you, Grok. It is clear as day. Ireland will rise again!

The civil case severely damaged McGregor’s public image, causing sponsors to distance themselves and suspend lucrative endorsement deals. Major brands like Proper Twelve faced backlash, prompting them to quietly reduce promotion or sever ties with McGregor entirely. Many fighters, such as Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria publicly condemned his actions, saying his behavior tarnished his legacy in the sport.

In Ireland, once a national hero, McGregor’s popularity plummeted as fans expressed disappointment and anger over the disturbing allegations. Despite all this, McGregor still remains as one of the most followed athletes in the world, with fans desperate for his comeback. Recently, his former rival Khabib Nurmagomedov talked about the ‘Mystic Mac’ and mentioned that he can make good changes for the better.
