Jake Paul retracts comments made about CTE after severe backlash!

Jake Paul is set to take on Ben Askren in a day’s time. ‘The Problem Child’ will be looking forward to keeping his winning momentum going and making it 3-0 in his professional boxing career. He has previously beaten fellow YouTuber AnesonGib and Ex-Basketballer Nate Robinson, both via. knockouts. This will be the first time Paul will be taking on a combat sports athlete.
Speaking at the media day yesterday Paul had claimed that he had CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy), a serious brain condition that is caused due to repeated blows to the brain. Speaking of which he said :
“It’s a dangerous sport. That’s why when people question my dedication to it, I’m showing up every single day, I’m putting my mental health on the line, my brain is on the line. I’ve gone and gotten brain scans and have early signs of CTE, but I love this sport and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. … I’m a fighter and people will see that. Whether it’s after Saturday night or a year from now. They will see that I’m a fighter.”
However, a lot of fans and even fighters accused Paul of spreading false information about CTE.
In the wake of this Paul took to Twitter to apologize for his comments.

“I wanna retract my comments made about CTE as it relates to me and my medical history. It’s a very serious condition that I should not have misspoken about”, Paul wrote.
There is no proven evidence that brain scans can detect early signs of CTE, and that is exactly why Jake Paul was mocked at. A lot of people claimed that he just said it to sound cool.
As for his boxing, Paul has been putting in the hard yards and has been focusing on distance control to see off his first ever combat sport opponent in Ben Askren. He will be looking forward to beating ‘Funky Ben and move further up in the boxing world.
