The fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has made fans believe that the young boxer has an advantage. This is mainly because he is younger, faster, and has better agility and endurance. Furthermore, many argue that Tyson may be old, but he still has an advantage in terms of size and power. However, this might not be the case since Paul has plans to weigh in at 240 pounds, which is Anthony Joshua‘s weight.

There were reports that Paul currently weighs 230 pounds, as confirmed by his coach. Subsequently, the young boxer mentioned how he felt as fast and strong as he did when he weighed 190 pounds. In addition, during an episode of his podcast, BS W/ Jake Paul, he revealed his plans to gain 20 more pounds.

Like, I think I’ll get up to 240 and then probably cut down, so I’m like, way faster.

Furthermore, he compared the extra 20 pounds to a weighted jacket that would strengthen his muscles. As such, Paul believes he will be much faster and stronger during his fight with Mike Tyson if he follows this approach.

Jake Paul responds to criticism

The fight has caused quite a stir in the combat sports world since it was announced. Many people find it a controversial matchup because of their 30-year age gap. However, Tyson has claimed that people criticizing the fight are just jealous of the success it will achieve. Similarly, Paul has also responded to the criticism.

In another episode of his podcast, BS W/ Jake Paul, the celebrity boxer spoke about several topics relating to the fight. This included a bold promise that he would knock out the former champion since it was a professional fight. Furthermore, he also addressed the criticism he received after the fight became a pro-fight

Paul revealed that Tyson was the one to suggest making the exhibition fight into a professional fight. The former champion made this suggestion after starting his training camp. Subsequently, he believes people are just disrespecting him by claiming that he is old.
