Bold moves and big splurges are no strangers to Jake Paul. Through his business endeavors and boxing career, he’s made millions over the years. But this time, ‘Problem Child’ took it up a notch, winding down on lavish sneaker shopping! That too right before a pro-sanction clash with one Mike Tyson.
Influencer-turned-boxer-turned-entrepreneur Paul went sneaker shopping with Complex’s Joe La Puma at Stadium Goods in New York City. The Ohio sensation dropped over $64,000 ($64,253)! Paul also talked about his viral Dior Jordan 1’s stunt, his fight with Mike Tyson, and donning fake Yeezys. Recently, Conor McGregor and Jake Gyllenhaal went viral doing the same. As did multiple others like UFC champ Alex Pereira, Ronaldinho, Marques Brownlee, and Ice Spice.
This morning, Betr (@betr) shared a clip of Jake Paul’s sneaker-buying sprees with Complex. Betr is Paul’s series – a funding mobile-betting company alongside Simplebet founder Joey Levy which is widely popular. The price tag was a whopping $64,253. The cashier confirmed the highest-ever price of the trainers for the boxer.
Paul taking on the 58-year-old Tyson has already provoked mixed reactions online. His $64,000 sneaker splurge – even more so. However, this is in no way out of touch or improbable for ‘El Gallo’, who once spent $750,000 on a single training camp! Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) now stands an active pro boxer making strides in the game. Some say his gimmicky courage won’t stand up to ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson. But experts say otherwise.
What a Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson confrontation tells about their resolve?
HW icon and “Baddest Man on the Planet” Tyson will lock horns with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium, in November. Nothing is alarmingly highlighting the age difference more than Paul’s strides and Tyson’s regressing health. As soon as that happened, all previous stints went out the window. However, Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 career KOs) is no mere washout adversary. Subsequently, the latest faceoffs are proof of that.
The duo went head-to-head at the recent Fanatics Fest in New York last month. More recently though, they took the action to AT&T, when Cowboys hosted the New Orleans Saints in NFL Week 2. Six body language experts (for USA TODAY Sports) reviewed what happened when Tyson, 58, and Paul, 27, met at midfield. The handshake, prompted by Paul, came after a 12-second standoff in the middle.
Lillian Glass, body language expert and interpersonal communication savant, said that Paul’s the “first one to reach out to shake hands… Which is a kind of power move.” According to Greg Williams, the impact was more than Paul’s extension of his right hand. The twitch and switch were a clear sign of dominance. Tyson responded by covering with his left and double-tapping him. Corporate trainers and body impact experts note that “Baddest Man on the Planet” Tyson doubled down, saying he’s on top!
Consequently, others like Mark Edgar Stephens say Tyson’s gimmicky shove, and cupping the hands before have come off as more a ‘master of the sport’ offering a hand than proper assertion. In all honesty, there is no rivalry here. However, all and sundry agree Jake Paul is ready; more than. $64K kicks before punches is a mere thing for one who plans bad things for the “Baddest Man on the Planet.”
