Over the years, the boxing community has witnessed several intriguing rivalries that often continue beyond the matches themselves. One notable example is the rivalry between two rising professional boxers, Jake Paul and Tommy ‘TNT’ Fury. Recently, Fury called Paul out for a rematch. In response, the ‘Problem Child’ delivered a scathing reply.
Fury was scheduled to fight former UFC fighter Darren Till in a boxing match in January 2025. This intriguing matchup generated a lot of attention. However, Fury spoiled everyone’s anticipation by withdrawing from the fight. Following this, he sought out other interesting opponents and eventually called out his former rival, Jake Paul. In response, Paul rejected the fight offer and seemingly mocked Fury.
According to Fury, one of the reasons for withdrawing from the fight was Till’s threat during the press conference to use kicks in their boxing match. Considering his safety, TNT did not hesitate to pull out and instead called out the Problem Child.
However, this decision did not sit well with his former rival, Paul, who has long sought a rematch against Fury. Although the Problem Child wanted to face off against TNT, Fury consistently declined his offers. This time, Paul did the same with the British boxer.
What an absolute muppet. Buddy you just pulled out of a fight for the 3rd time. You have ZERO credibility.
— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) December 10, 2024
I offered you $8M dollars and you ran away from it. And now you got dumped by Molly, getting sued by DAZN and still can’t call a shot without your dad
GTFOH…
Paul is currently gaining significant fame and financial success, especially after recently participating in Netflix’s first live boxing event. The Problem Child faced off against boxing legend Mike Tyson and won by unanimous decision.
This victory has further boosted Paul’s confidence and reputation in the boxing community, which may explain why he responded sharply to Fury for calling him out at this time. Interestingly, the British boxer did not take long to react to Paul’s criticisms.
Tommy Fury claps back and reminds Jake Paul about his sole blemish in boxing
25-year-old British boxer Tommy Fury is undoubtedly one of the rising stars in the world of boxing. Like his brother, Tyson Fury, TNT boasts an impressive professional boxing record. Throughout his brief career, Tommy has defeated several formidable opponents. Most recently, he showcased his remarkable boxing skills against YouTuber-turned-boxers KSI and Jake Paul.
Interestingly, Fury’s victory over the Problem Child was quite significant. As such, it marked the first professional boxing loss of Paul’s career. Amid the ongoing rivalry between these two rising boxers, Fury did not hesitate to bring this up. Not only Paul, the British boxer also boasted how he defeated the Problem Child and KSI in nine months.
I’ve got plenty of credibility pal, beat both you and that other mug inside 9 months.
— Tommy Fury (@tommytntfury) December 10, 2024
No matter what you do, you’ve always got that loss to me. I’ll always be your boss, you can’t change anything.
You’re just not good enough. https://t.co/hfx33ToW8A
Even after Fury’s comments, Paul escalated the situation by taking a personal jab at the British boxer. Specifically, the Problem Child referenced Fury’s recent separation from his fiancee, Molly-Mae Hague, which occurred a few months ago. This ongoing back-and-forth between the two rising boxing stars illustrates the animosity and grudges they hold against each other. Now, it remains to be seen if this tension will lead to a rematch between them.
