Jalen Brunson once again showed his immense qualities as he scored 43 points, and in the process led the New York Knicks to a 121-117 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semi-final game. He also became the fourth player in the history of the NBA with four straight 40-point games in the postseason.
Furthermore, he joined an elite group of Hall of Famers Jerry West, Michael Jordan, and Bernard King. Brunson scored 21 points in the fourth quarter, which rallied the Knicks from a nine-point deficit as it was instrumental in their comeback, thus earning him a spot among the NBA all-time greats.
New York Knicks Donte DiVincenzo scored 25 points, and Josh Hart came up with a career-high 24 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists, showing an all-around team performance. They will host Game 2 on Wednesday as they aim to build momentum from this performance.
For the Indiana Pacers, Myles Turner scored 23 points and had good gameplay from their bench, but unfortunately, couldn’t hold on to their lead. Thanks to the best player from the East’s historic performance.

Jalen Brunson put in a performance for the record books in the Eastern Conference semi-final win over rivals, the Indiana Pacers. Brunson had a point to prove to habitual critic Draymond Green, who had earlier called him out for his style of play.
His historic performance against the Pacers instantly caused a storm in social media, particularly on popular social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). The basketball community came together to share and talk about the greatness witnessed at Madison Square Garden.
