“You got Jared McCain,” Jalen Brunson trolled for claiming he’d guard Paul George in Knicks vs. Sixers rivalry

The New York Knicks’ star man Jalen Brunson has been making headlines recently alongside his teammate and good friend Josh Hart on his podcast, the Roommates Show. Notably, Paul George signed for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2024 NBA Free Agency, leaving the Western Conference side, the Los Angeles Clippers. This move attracted a lot of attention, as the 76ers now have a formidable side for the upcoming season.

Interestingly, the 76ers also drafted Jared McCain during the 2024 NBA Draft. In addition, on the Roommates Show, the host Matt Hillman questioned the Knicks’ stars, Brunson and Hart regarding the 76ers and who would each guard. Brunson’s response that he would guard the 76ers’ newest addition Paul George was not accepted by his teammate Hart, he quickly trolled him with a savage response, claiming Brunson would guard McCain.

On the Roommates Show, Matt Hillman questioned the Knicks stars, “Are you putting OG or Mikal on PG, ” to which Brunson quickly responded, “I got PG. ” Hart did not waste any time trolling his friend and teammate saying, “You got Jared McCain.” Notably, McCain was recognized as a five-star recruit and one of the best prospects in the 2023 class.

On the contrary, the Knicks played brilliantly this past 2023-24 NBA season, reaching the NBA Playoffs despite injuries to their main players. With all players fit and raring to go, it will be interesting to watch how the Knicks and their star-studded roster perform in the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season.

Paul George comes in defense of 76ers rookie Jared McCain

The Philadelphia 76ers made two marquee additions to their side for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season. Firstly in snapping up the NBA veteran, Paul George from the 2024 NBA Free Agency. Secondly, drafting one of the best rookies Jared McCain as the first overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft. Notably, McCain’s old TikTok videos were gathering a lot of negative attention, to which his new teammate George defended him and also hyped the rookie on his podcast.

McCain averaged 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game during his one season at Duke. In addition, George believes he has the potential to thrive, regardless of the criticism he will encounter as he begins his professional career.
