The Philadelphia Eagles secured their 10th consecutive victory on Sunday with a 27-13 triumph over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following the game, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts demonstrated his respect for Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson by engaging in a heartfelt post-game exchange.
Hurts put aside his differences in Sunday afternoon’s matchup between the Eagles and Steelers, delivering an impressive performance with 25 completions on 32 attempts for 290 yards, leading Philadelphia to a commanding 27-13 win.
Hurts expressed deep respect for his veteran counterpart, emphasizing Wilson’s influence on him and the newest generation of NFL quarterbacks. In a mic’up segment heard from the post game interaction between the two, Hurts acknowledged Wilson’s role in his rise to the top.
Drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Russell Wilson quickly made his mark as Seattle’s starting quarterback, throwing 26 touchdowns and guiding the Seahawks to their first winning season in five years. Over the next decade, Wilson achieved remarkable success in Seattle, amassing a stellar 104-53-1 record, securing a Super Bowl victory, and earning eight Pro Bowl selections.
The two quarterbacks will now continue on their respective paths and are unlikely to face each other again this season unless both teams advance to the Super Bowl. The Eagles have already clinched the division title and a top four seed with their 10th straight win. Meanwhile, Steelers will need one more win to be crowned the AFC North title.
Russell Wilson accepts blame and need to play better after a hard loss to Eagles
Russell Wilson acknowledged that they played bitterly amid a 13-27 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Steelers, despite clinching their straight 19th postseason, have lost some big games this season. It could eventually come to bite them back in the playoffs.
Wilson told the reporters that the team played worse than usual in their matchup on Sunday. He went on to add that they are still a great team stating that not all great teams win all the games.
Russell Wilson after Steelers' 27-13 loss to Eagles: "They played way better than us tonight. It was unacceptable how we played. I think we feel like we’ve got to be sharper."

According to ESPN’s Benjamin Solak, the Steelers became the first team since 2009 to have just two drives in the second half of a game. It is worth considering that the Steelers had an advantage in the game as Philadelphia’s star running back Saquon Barkley was sidelined for most part of the game.
Pittsburgh failed to capitalize on its limited opportunities, narrowing its lead in the AFC North as the surging Ravens closed the gap. With a 10-2 record, the Steelers face a challenging schedule in the final four weeks, making their path to maintaining a top spot in the AFC more difficult.
