Jalen Hurts has led the Eagles as their full-time starter for four seasons, falling short of a Lombardi once. After years of hard work and overcoming criticism, he finally seized his moment with a Super Bowl LIX victory.
Prior to winning this edition of the biggest game of the season, Hurts was hurting from that Super Bowl LVII loss. He even had a picture of him walking away with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs celebrating amongst the confetti behind as his phone’s wallpaper.
He apparently used that as motivation as he worked towards another chance. Last season, the chance did not manifest as they were embarrassed in the Wild Card round. As he strived to improve his game, Hurts and his teammates had to go through the test of fire.
Being a part of the Philadelphia sports culture means the grit and grind the city symbolizes does become a part of one’s character. While at the Super Bowl parade, Jalen Hurts proudly held the Vince Lombardi trophy in his hands, and then said this to the fans gathered-
I told myself when I got drafted that I wouldn’t go to the Rocky steps until I won a championship. And now we’re here.

This means the Texas native embraced the culture the city brings. So much so that he did not want to climb the 72 steps towards the Rocky Balboa statue at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Usually, almost everyone landing in the city do go to the statue. But Hurts chose to keep it for the appropriate moment.
Jordan brand doing its part to change Jalen Hurts’ narrative at Super Bowl parade
The appropriate moment has arrived as Jalen Hurts holds the Super Bowl LIX trophy in his hands. However, it did not just come easily. The superstar QB was subjected to criticism all season long. Analysts, fans and many others called out his ability to lead a championship contending team.

Now that he has delivered, his most important endorser, Jordan brand, decided to do something that could change the perception around him. They erected a ‘Love, Hurts’ piece at Love Park in Philadelphia. The star QB was wearing a hoodie with those same words.
The brand also dropped a video celebrating his feat. They called out those who said he was not good enough. Jordan brand is trying to change the narrative from hating on the Philadelphia Eagles QB to loving him as one of the better quarterbacks in the league.

Hurts did whatever his team asked him to do as he led them to win the biggest game of all. His 221 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception might not be eye popping. When adding his game leading 72 rushing yards and one TD, it reeks of a Super Bowl MVP awardee.
