Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals delivered intense performances in both matchups this season. Although the Bengals suffered heartbreaking losses in the final minutes of each game, it was exciting to see several high-profile players putting up impressive numbers.
Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow, the quarterbacks for the Ravens and the Bengals, respectively, posted 17 passing touchdowns combined while passing for more than 1700 yards in two games. The Bengals’ offense was too good, but missed referee call, and the Ravens’ comeback weaponry stopped them from registering a massive win.
One of the biggest names on Thursday was Ja’Marr Chase, the Bengals wideout. He enjoyed an 11-catch, 264-yard game with three touchdowns.
The electrifying performance from Chase has left fans questioning whether the Bengals are being fair to him. A tweet from Chase’s agent Caitlin Aoki sprung up a jab at the Bengals’ management for their low pay. Aoki addressed the Bengals’ decision not to offer her client a long-term, lucrative contract.
he keeps making my job easier lmao

Earlier this season, Chase expressed a strong desire for a long-term deal with the Bengals. However, negotiations stalled as management, under owner Mike Brown, reportedly deemed Chase’s asking price too high. Chase had reportedly asked for a penny more than Justin Jefferson’s pay grade from Minnesota Vikings.
In response, Ja’Marr Chase secured a $50 million insurance policy to protect himself financially in case of injury during his final year under his rookie contract. The move has heightened the pressure on the Bengals’ management as Chase continues to prove his market value with exceptional on-field performances.
Fans want Ja’Marr Chase paid as soon as possible
The jaw-dropping performance from Ja’Marr Chase, Caitlin Aoki’s tweet, and the fantasy points jump has riled up fans to question the Cincinnati Bengals. Chase being unsettled is a matter of concern for the Ohio-based team. His recent match has indicated that he is going to be an explosive asset for many years to come.
Chase’s gameplay and record-breaking achievements has intensified online tweets. He now has the highest receiving yards per game (116.2) against the Baltimore Ravens since 2000 among players with minimum four games. It is unsurprising that the fans have been calling out the management for the inaction.

The value for Chase has also significantly increased. The fans are also worried whether the decision of opting not to pay him per his demands has been a costly mistake.
