The 2024 second-overall pick seems to be having the best season among all first-round-picked quarterbacks. Along with achieving a 38-33 win, Jayden Daniels has set the rookie record in week 3 for completing 91.3% of his total passes. His impressive performance drew widespread acclaim, including praise from the Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase

On one side where the Bengals’ cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt downplayed Daniels’ success by attributing it to the oversimplified offense of Commanders, his teammate and star wide receiver Chase didn’t hold back from appreciating the rookie signal-caller which he well-deserved after week 3’s performance

That was my first time sitting down and watching him besides the spring game, so he's a very outstanding player.

Ja’Marr Chase and Cincinnati Bengals struggle to overcome early season woes

The three-team Pro Bowler is dealing with crises in Cincinnati as the team appears to hit a new level of low by opening the season with a three-game losing streak. As much as the team wanted to avoid another breakdown after the disappointment of last season because of Joe Burrow’s injury, they have repeatedly fallen down the ladder, resulting in being ranked the lowest in the AFC North.

Despite experiencing poor stats in previous two seasons as well, the Bengals were able to recover quickly after two losses. But this season, climbing out of the losing streak appears to be getting tougher for the team. Just this week against the Commanders, the Bengals dug their own grave because of the blunders by the defense.

Fans had high hopes for the team in week 3 facing the Commanders, believing they would attain their potential comeback. However as the game ended on another humiliating 38-33 defeat, fans’ hope has been crushed. But the team isn’t ready to give up yet as they prepare for the upcoming matchup against the Carolina Panthers, who surprisingly are at a better standing than the Bengals at a 1-2 record.
