Joe Burrow managed to trigger alarm bells after he suggested he was not having fun both on and off the field. Since then, many have been wondering if the quarterback seemingly wants to leave the Cincinnati Bengals.
After all, they have not invested in the team the way other franchises have, and the result of it has taken a toll on the LSU star’s body. This season was marred by injury.
But otherwise, the lack of talent at his disposal, at least when it comes to offensive line protection, the running game, and most importantly, the leaky defense, has possibly contributed to this situation.
Burrow’s words indicated that he was no longer having fun, which means he was either inclined towards leaving the team and joining a franchise who will look after him.
Or, he probably has lost his joy of playing football, especially after constantly being tossed around by opposing teams all throughout his career. When Ja’Marr Chase took to the dias, reporters had to ask him about those comments.
I thought this was AI. Did this really happen, though?… I see him the same every day. To me, he loves football. But that’s a him question. I can’t ask answer for him… He doesn’t look like he’s bummed to be here.
Ja’Marr Chase replied
"I see him the same every day, to me he loves football."

After Joe Burrow's press conference Wednesday, Ja'Marr Chase was asked today what he thinks about the Bengals QB's comments:#Bengals @FOX19 pic.twitter.com/HNXYYOy7G7
It seems the star wideout is not sure whether his QB is going through something, as he has not seen any difference when they are together. But he did mention that any follow-ups should be asked to Joe Burrow.
Ryan Clark believes Bengals are facing familiar problem with Joe Burrow
As the rumor mill starts to gather pace, Ryan Clark believes the Cincinnati Bengals are facing something familiar after Joe Burrow‘s ‘depressed’ comments.

Why would the Cincinnati Bengals consider trading Joe Burrow at this time, when he’s everything to you? Probably because you have PTSD because you had a former No.1 overall pick who wore the exact same number, stay at home.
Ryan Clark said on First Take
The former safety believes it is the Bengals’ doing that they did not invest enough to help their leading quarterback. The last time they did something similar, Carson Palmer eventually forced his way out.
I know it’s hard to believe that the @bengals would part ways with Joe Burrow, but his recent comments have to give them PTSD. In this instance, Clark believes that Burrow is not openly talking about leaving. However, that could change as his words indicated that he is potentially leaning towards playing somewhere else.
The former Super Bowl champion feels it will be sensible for the franchise to find the best value and send its quarterback away. Then, they can regroup and start rebuilding the right way.
Dan Orlovsky lists the teams that should call the Bengals for Joe Burrow
To some, Joe Burrow’s comments suggested that he might be contemplating retiring from the NFL. When Dan Orlovsky was asked about it, he admitted he would be shocked, but then he proposed a way out.
It would shock me if 3 teams weren’t on the phone today, after what he said yesterday, figuring out how do we make him part of our football team… Jets, Raiders, and Steelers. If I were those 3 organizations, I’m in a brainstorming meeting now. We are figuring out a way to propose a way to get Joe Burrow.
Dan Orlovsky told Unsportsmanlike Radio
The former QB hopes these teams get into emergency meetings and start prepping offers to bring the mercurial superstar to their city. He did agree that the Steelers might have it the hardest, especially considering their rivalry.

But Orlovsky hopes they get serious about it and try to make a compelling offer. That way, all three teams can hope to try a new era with the 2-time Pro Bowler.
