Anderson also said that he is not under too much pressure in this game and is approaching this Test normally. He wants to win this Test for England as he knows there will be contrasting emotions as the week gets to the end.

I feel pretty normal going into this last couple of days of training. Try not to think too much about the game itself. The big thing for me this week is to play well, bowl well and get a win. That's what I am trying to focus on really. I am sure the emotions during the week will change. So that's what I am trying to focus on to stop myself from crying. Playing my 188th Test at just short of 42 years old, makes me the most proud and I’m still pushing myself to be the best I possibly can. Even though I’ve got one game left, I’ve still tried to train as hard as I can.

James Anderson is set to finish his Test career as the best fast bowler in Test cricket history

James Anderson is ending his career as the pacer with most wickets in Test cricket history. In a sport where fast bowlers retire early due to the stress and the injuries that their body has to endure, Anderson has been an exception. He has played 187 Tests for England, a feat that fast bowlers can barely imagine.

Anderson is standing on 700 Test wickets before the start of his final Test. He is 8 short of Shane Warne, who is the second highest wicket taker in Test cricket history.

Anderson’s strength has been always to swing the new ball and he has troubled absolutely every batter in three generations. For one last time, the legend will be bowling with the red dukes ball in hand. The whole Lord’s Cricket Stadium will be waiting to absorb every bit of magic that his magic wand is set to weave.
