James Cook comes alive in clutch situations. Whenever Josh Allen feels he needs additional manpower on the run, he calls on his trusty subordinate to get the job done, and more often than not, the 25-year-old running back gets the job done.

In the third quarter on Sunday’s AFC Championship game, Bills Matt Milano sacked Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, forcing them to punt the ball. Allen let Cook loose, who stiff-armed the Chiefs cornerback Nazeeh Johnson and gained 33 yards.

In the following play, Josh Allen decided to run the ball himself to get the first down. The Bills ended up inside the Chiefs fifteen-yard line. Allen once more turned to his running back Cook. The Bills QB handed the ball over to Cook, who juked the Chiefs defensive back Justin Reid and used his entire 5-foot-11 stature to reach for a diving touchdown.

Cook’s touchdown reduced the score to just one point, and the Bills should have taken the lead, but the Chiefs stopped the two-point conversion.

James Cook’s brother wants the Bills to raise his salary
