James Harden and Malik Beasley

Life comes at you fast, especially if you are going against James Harden at this current period. That is exactly what happened with Detroit Pistons star, Malik Beasley. Over two weeks ago, Beasley sat down with famous streamer N3ON on his stream and spoke about various topics regarding the NBA and its players. Notably, the one topic that made waves in the NBA was Beasley’s words regarding Harden.

Beasley stated that ‘Harden is easy to guard.’ However, when his side faced Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers, Harden surely proved him wrong. He dropped 50 points on Beasley and his teammates at the Intuit Dome. In addition to this, N3ON recently bumped into Harden at an event and the Clippers star did not forget Beasley’s comments on his stream.

Harden initially was annoyed with N3ON and gave him an unusual look. However, the Clippers star also chimed back on N3ON’s recent stream, providing a fitting response to Beasley.

I saw your stream, he was talking sh*t, not you, him(Malik Beasley)!

Harden logged 38 minutes against the Pistons on Wednesday. He made over 60% of his shots from the court and was 16-20 from the free-throw line. Overall, Harden had 50 points. He also recorded five assists and four rebounds.

The Clippers and Pistons met twice this season, concluding their season-long rivalry. Beasley and Harden will face off again next season, but it’s uncertain whether Beasley will represent the Motor City, as he’s set to become a free agent.

Aside from this, the Clippers have had an eventful 2024-25 season. James Harden has been a consistent playmaker while being named to the All-Star Team for the 11th time in his NBA tenure. Norman Powell has thrived in a supporting position, and Kawhi Leonard is attempting to reclaim his superstar form. However, the Clippers must confront a harsh reality: their championship window is declining.

With a top-heavy roster and aging stars, the Clippers must be active in the offseason to strengthen their supporting cast.

James Harden drops in his appreciation for Clippers teammate

With less than a month left in the NBA regular season, the Los Angeles Clippers are hoping to escape the play-in tournament. They currently are on a four-game victory streak. However, they are only in the seventh spot in the Western Conference, with a 39-30 record. Also, they are just one game off the sixth-place Golden State Warriors, who seem to be on fire in recent weeks.

One player, James Harden, has been working hard to ensure the team’s automatic postseason berth. He left a comment on Instagram for teammate Ivica Zubac, who has been playing great basketball recently. James Harden posted on his story: “Zuno, ‘More life big fella.”

Zubac is having a career year, averaging 16.4 points, 12.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 blocked shots per game. In March, he averaged 21.5 points per game and shot 65.1% from the field. On March 4, he had 35 points on 15-of-19 shooting against the Phoenix Suns. He also had 28 points and 20 rebounds in a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Harden is shooting only 39.6% from the field this year, but he remains a potential danger. His shooting efficiency has improved slightly this month, and he currently ranks seventh in the NBA in assist average (8.7 dimes per game). It will be interesting to watch how the Clippers try to avoid the NBA Play-In tournament before the end of the regular season.
