“James Harden is new, modern day Dennis Rodman” Kendrick Perkins

Kendrick Perkins and James Harden

James Harden’s recent behavior to impose his trade on the Houston Rockets has led NBA Analyst Kendrick Perkins to not have an entirely good thinking about him. Ever since Rockets got a new General Manager and Head Coach, Harden was never impressed. But what blew the trade-lid for Harden was, when Russell Westbrook was able to work his way out of the franchise.
When the entire Rockets team was busy practicing for the pre-season games. Harden was adamant in making a statement in front of the Rockets management, he decided to party in Vegas. However, Kendrick Perkins feels these activities might have led many franchises to think otherwise for the multiple time top scorer.
“You are making the Rockets trade you” Kendrick Perkins
“You still have to have a level of professionalism and show up to work. And when you do show up to work, you can’t show up lookin’ like me! So what happened is that now, you are making on the Rockets to trade you. Because for a simple fact, they have no leverage anymore.
“So packages that the team would have given up three weeks or a month ago, they are not giving the same packages right now… The world around town the front offices, the GMs that have interest or may have interest in James Harden is that they’re saying that basically he’s the new, modern day Dennis Rodman.”
Having said that, it could only mean for trouble for the Rockets and James Harden. They might have to settle for a package that is not lucrative enough for the former MVP. One might question if Harden is to blame for it or not, but as things stand, he will start the season as a member of the Houston Rockets.
