Amidst the ongoing festivities at the Fanatics Fest in New York City, the LA Clippers’ very own James Harden pulled up to the three-day event on Saturday draped as Hulk Hogan. The point guard didn’t tweak the color of the beard that earned him a nickname. Apart from that, the 35-year-old NBA sensation nailed Hogan’s look by impersonating his mannerisms.

It’s not the first time a pro athlete has paid homage to the uber-polarizing WWE Hall of Famer. In fact, last year at the Fanatics Fest itself, Tom Brady came out to Hogan’s wrestling battle hymn in an attempt to woo the fans. The NFL legend was, however, trolled on the internet for his subtle mimicry of The Immortal One, whose goodwill has nosedived over the past decade or so.

Earlier this year, Hogan made an appearance at the Netflix premiere of Raw in Los Angeles. And guess what? He was booed out of the Intuit Dome. Hogan made headlines for all the wrong reasons, as the negative fan reaction to the 71-year-old gained notable mainstream attention. The real-life Terry Bollea later admitted on Pat McAfee‘s show that he did expect something along those lines given his political allegiance to POTUS Donald Trump.

Hogan then doubled down on the people of California by jibing at the Democratic Party leader Kamala Harris, alluding that they’ll be degenerated if she ever becomes their governor. It’s worth mentioning that Hogan did make some inflammatory remarks about the former Vice President of the United States in the lead-up to last year’s presidential elections.

What’s the truth behind recent health rumors about Hulk Hogan?

A few days ago, several posts on X started aggregating a rumor that Hulk Hogan was on his deathbed. It had stemmed from radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge stating on his podcast that The Immortal One was on the cusp of mortality, as per his sources.

TMZ Sports later published a story debunking the aforementioned claims. The outlet had been told by a representative of Hogan that the retired wrestler was hospitalized to address his long-standing neck and back problems. Moreover, TMZ noted that Terry Bollea was already mobile and nowhere close to perishing. Back in May, the wrestling great had undergone a successful neck surgery.

It was a fusion procedure to make him feel better, his rep told TMZ. Now that the falsehood around Hogan’s health is in the dirt, his close ones must’ve taken a big sigh of relief. Speaking of his close ones, Hogan’s once-blithe family-of-four is no longer attached whatsoever.

A few months ago, Linda Claridge, the WWE icon’s ex-wife, washed the dirty linen in public by accusing her former husband of being responsible for the sorry state of their family. Hogan’s daughter Brooke Oleksy also came up with her side of the story, most of which had to do with the child abuse she faced while growing up with her parents.

Hulk Hogan’s wrestling league set for its debut show in August

Back in April, Hulk Hogan announced the launch of an unscripted freestyle wrestling league—Real American Freestyle. The notorious WWE legend will serve as its commissioner, with Eric Bischoff being tapped in as the Chief Media Officer.

Both Hogan and Bischoff have worked together in WCW and TNA as well. They’re also joined by Israel Martinez, a UFC coach who’s the COO of the Hogan-backed wrestling league. Hogan told the Sports Business Journal that their league isn’t an alternative to WWE, nor do they see it as a competition.

The Sterling Golden noted that his Real American Beer is partnered with WWE and that the company is excited about Hogan’s new venture. The debut event of the RAF is slated for August 30 at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland.
