Lamar Jackson’s criticism is fair, says James Jones. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback is a 2x NFL MVP (one Unanimous), 2 first-team All-Pro, and 2 Pro Bowls, and yet he hardly ever delivers in the postseason.
Jackson has a playoff record of 2-4 with a passer rating of 75.7, 6 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. Those who aim for the Super Bowl always come clutch during crucial moments, which has been lacking in the 27-year-old’s game.
Lamar Jackson, embrace it [because] your criticism is not going anywhere. If you go to the Super Bowl this year [and] you win a couple of playoff games, next year you come into the season and you get to the playoffs and you lose in the first round, you know what they are gonna say? Lamar Jackson don’t deliver in the playoffs.James Jones said during the recent episode of FS1’s Speak.
Jones wants to see Jackson end his poor post-season form and show some progress by winning games. He possibly wants to see the star QB play in the Super Bowl. If he fails to adhere to that, then the media will not stop its barrage of criticism.
The criticism isn’t going anywhere until you walk into the Hall of Fame unless these next five years you just go to the Super Bowl five years in a row.James Jones added.

Earlier this year, Jones’ ex-colleague LeSean McCoy said the complete opposite of what the retired wide receiver said. McCoy claimed the media is very selective in its criticism. In his view, they turned a blind eye to Heisman winner Baker Mayfield’s underwhelming time in the NFL but never stopped picking out Jackson’s mistakes.
Lamar Jackson doesn’t care about criticism and only has eyes for the Super Bowl
All the criticism from football pundits has reached Jackson’s ears, but the Louisville graduate prefers to block them out. After the Ravens’ recent practice session before their 3rd pre-season game, Jackson spoke with Adam Schein of Mad Dog Sports Radio and claimed he is busy motivating himself and has no time to care about unnecessary criticism.
I'm motivating myself because I know what I want to do at the end of the day… I really don't care what the criticism is or what the critics say because, at the end of the day, I just came off a season-ending injury the year before, and we made it all the way to the AFC [Championship Game] in a new system.Lamar Jackson said per Kevin Patra of NFL.com.
"I really don't care what the criticism is, what the critics say."
