Although the loss was heartbreaking, an ever-smiling Paolini saw only the positives in her results this season, having made finals at the French Open and Wimbledon back to back. When she was told that she was the first Italian woman to reach the final at the grass Major, she expressed her joy at her achievement and thanked everyone for the support.
The last 2 months have been crazy for me. I want to thank my team and family. They always support me and believe in me. Without them I wouldn’t be here. Thank you very much. The crowd has been amazing these two weeks. I received a lot of support. Just Incredible to feel the love from them. I enjoyed so much.

Jasmine Paolini is half Italian and half Polish as her father Ugo hails from Italy and her mother Jacqueline is from Poland. The parents were seen enthusiastically supporting their daughter throughout her Wimbledon campaign where she demonstrated incredible fitness.
Besides her Italian and Polish roots, she has strong Ghanaian roots. Her maternal grandfather was from Ghana and she stated that she probably got her fast feet from him.
My grandfather is from Ghana, and I think I am fast because of that. Ghanaian, maybe I feel like I’m fast on court. And I think that part of my family helped me. Maybe from Poland, I have the determination, maybe. But of course, I also have the Italian energy. It’s a mix. And I’m really proud of it.
