Former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce is making the most of his retirement, spending time with his family, supporting his brother Travis Kelce and his girlfriend Taylor Swift at concerts, and securing life-changing deals for himself and their podcast. Before diving into his new post-NFL career, he took a trip to watch Team USA stars at the Paris Olympics—especially Simone Biles and the dominant women’s gymnastics team.

The two brothers got talking about everything they have been doing since their last podcast. When Travis Kelce asked his brother’s Paris Olympics experience, Kelce got candid.

We saw the women's team gymnastics final. You want to talk about jumping. We watched like every girl go and do the floor routine, Simone Biles was the last person. And I'm like, 'You know, she's getting older, we'll see how she looks'. She jumped higher than everybody and it wasn't even close. In the first three seconds I was like, 'Oh that's different'. She just jumped 5 feet higher than everybody else.

Jason Kelce understood that he was wrong about his premonitions on women’s gymnastics. The performance Biles put up, proved him wrong.

Travis Kelce did suggest in between that he could not believe his brother doubted the gymnastics great. But the former All-Pro center reiterated that his doubts were based on the fact that almost all women’s gymnasts are much younger than Simone Biles.

She is one of the older gymnasts and is at an age when athletes generally retire. Her routine made the former Philadelphia Eagles center turn his doubts into confidence in a few seconds. Jason Kelce was thrilled that he could witness the women’s gymnasts win gold and make the country proud.

Jason Kelce will never arm-wrestle again

Continuing with his Paris Olympics experience, Travis Kelce asked him about the arm-wrestling cheating allegations. To this, the soon to be 37-year-old said:

I hate arm wrestling. It's a lose lose situation. But I get challenged by an Olympian, what do I do. Now I have legitimate arm wrestlers challenging me. I'm not doing it.

The father of three was clear that the Olympics’ arm-wrestling showdown was a one off. He feels it is unfair to go into that sport.

His logic is that if he is the physically bigger person, and he wins, the reaction will be that it was easy to win. However, if he lost to a physically smaller person, everyone would get on and troll him, which is why that was a one-time situation.

It could be that the good sport in him does not want to either be the butt of jokes or humiliate anyone. That one time at the Paris Olympics was purely feeding off the adrenaline of the Games.
