Jason Kelce does not mince words. At least not when it comes to things he feels are wrong. That was what he felt he was doing when he joked about what Harrison Butker said at the graduation. Since then, he has faced attacks from people on social media. Prompting the now-retired center to make attempts to defend himself.

After the episode of New Heights went live, many people decided to call out the former All-Pro on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. One person suggested that Harrison Butker did not necessarily say that all women should be homemakers. 

I say in the longer podcast version that I don’t think that is what he was even trying to say.

He did say that Butker might have been misinterpreted in a wrong way. Which the former Philadelphia Eagles star suggested during the full-length version of their podcast.

In the shorter version of the podcast, Kelce jokes with his brother Travis Kelce that his wife was frustrated by the comments Butker made. He then jokingly added that Kylie Kelce should rather go and fix him a sandwich. Something that Butker’s comments suggested women should be doing.

Now that clip has gone viral as both the Kelce brothers were then laughing hysterically, which means, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end also somewhere agreed to his older brother’s joke, which was a direct shot at his teammate. Now that could have ramifications in the Chiefs locker room.

Jason Kelce’s views do not align with those of Harrison Butker

Jason Kelce was clear on the podcast that he did not agree with the views of Harrison Butker. They are not how his wife and his kids are brought up with or follow around the house. He also made it clear that he would have failed as a father had his children been told by someone what they should do with their lives.

Although Travis Kelce did not talk on these lines, it is possible that these conversations continue into the Kansas City Chiefs locker room. So far, his teammates have been very diplomatic in their answers. But when a team comes together and tensions start boiling, someone may bring it up. If their tight end could have an outburst at their head coach, it is highly possible that another player could bring up the conversation.

This entire situation could make or break the team. It could also put a serious dent in their Super Bowl hopes. Chemistry is what drives a locker room to do great things. Harrison Butker might have destroyed it.
