It is quite understandable as the Mavs sent their fan favorite and one of the best NBA players to the Los Angeles Lakers. This was in return for the 31-year-old Anthony Davis. In addition, Mavs HC Jason Kidd made his intentions clear regarding his side’s fans.

Kidd discussed his thoughts on the Mavericks’ treatment of supporters who have voiced disapproval of the team’s current leadership. This includes Harrison and president Patrick Dumont, at a recent press conference. Jason Kidd responded as follows when questioned about jeers and what constitutes appropriate fan behavior:

Dealing with grief. We have the best fans in the league, and they can come and cheer and boo. If they don’t like the way we’re playing, if we’re being lazy, but I don’t think the fans are booing the guys are playing as hard as they can…They have a right to speak on what they believe…I think it’s fair, that’s why they’re fans. They paid to come watch the game. As long as it’s not disturbing the next fan that’s come to watch the game and cheer the guys on.

Jason Kidd told reporters

This response provided positive feedback from the Mavs’ fanbase. This was mostly because Kidd spoke to the fans with a sentimental approach rather than a professional one.
