Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce enjoy giving back to the community whenever they can. So, it did not come as a surprise when they helped out fellow Cleveland Heights native and rising hockey star Laila Edwards ahead of her big debut for the USA National team at Milano Cortina Winter Games.

Edwards, the first African-American woman named to a 23-player U.S. Olympic hockey roster, is set to travel to Italy and will be accompanied by her family. It was made possible thanks to the GoFundMe account that has received generous donations since its creation.

Among them were brothers Travis and Jason Kelce. An article from People documented her reaction upon hearing the good news.

They’ve helped out with my family’s GoFundMe to go [to Italy] and support me. My family put up a GoFundMe, and Travis [Kelce] donated… He’s been in touch a little bit on how else he can help… They’re really good people, too, outside of their athletic abilities.

Laila Edwards revealed

The GoFundMe account has raised over $46k, and the number is on the rise. Laila’s mom, Charone, has been her biggest supporter, and the money will provide her with a chance to cheer for her daughter in Italy.

Robert, her dad, Bobby, her older brother, and Britney, her oldest sister, would all love to be there for Laila, cheering her on in person on the world stage in Italy next month. (Younger brother Colson will be in Boston playing for the USPHL).

Travis Kelce makes his feelings clear about Eric Bieniemy’s return to the Chiefs

Despite starting the 2025 season as favorites for another Super Bowl run, the Kansas City Chiefs fizzled out and finished with a 6-11 record. It was the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era that the Chiefs did not qualify for the playoffs.

Hire-ups in KC took immediate action and fired several coaches, including the wide receivers coach and the offensive line coach. Matt Nagy went job hunting and left the offensive coordinator’s post vacant. Shortly after, the Chiefs requested an interview with Eric Bieniemy, the Chicago Bears’ running backs coach.

Bieniemy was the OC when Mahomes first took over as the starting quarterback for the Chiefs in 2018. He left in 2023 for Washington and then spent one year in college at UCLA. The Bears brought him back to the NFL just in time for their historic 2025 season, which wrapped up with a trip to the divisional round.

The Chiefs expressed interest in reinstating the 56-year-old to his previous position. Kelce reacted to the news during Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights podcast.

I can’t wait to see [Eric Bieniemy] back in the building man. He’s one of my favorite coaches of all time. One of my favorite people of all time. I’ve had so many unbelievable growing moments under him as a player, as a person. I just love the guy and it’s going to be awesome to see him back in the building and see him back wearing the Chiefs logo.

Travis Kelce declared

The good news is that the Chiefs officially announced that Bieniemy has agreed to become the OC.

Bieniemy won a couple of Super Bowls during his previous stint, and if everything goes according to plan, then the Chiefs might make a quick return to the playoffs in 2026.
