Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah tied the know with TV anchor Sanjana Ganesan on the 15th of March in Goa at a private ceremony with just about 20 people invited. Bumrah who is not with the Indian cricket team that is competing in the ongoing T20I series Ahmedabad had earlier left the test series citing ‘personal reasons’. The reasons were later revealed to be his marriage, which were confirmed by reports.
The wedding was confirmed and announced when Bumrah and Sanjana took to their social media handles by sharing pictures from the ceremony and writing, ““Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana.”

While both Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan have decided to keep things lowkey by not sharing a lot of images online, a plethora of photos and videos have been shared by attendees of the ceremonies. One such video of the two dancing together during their Sangeet ceremony has now gone viral. The Sangeet ceremony is one where members of the families of the bride and groom come together and have cultural programs like dancing and singing.
Jasprit Bumrah is not expected to be a part of the Indian squad for the ODIs which are set to take place after the ongoing T20I series. The pacer will return to cricketing action in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he will spearhead the Mumbai Indians (MI) bowling attack in their quest to do the ‘three-peat”.
