India’s ace fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah got married to TV presenter and model Sanjana Ganesan on the 15th of March in Goa. The marriage proved to be a private ceremony with not a lot of guests invited due to the pandemic situation prevailing around India. For the purpose of the marriage, Bumrah had asked for special permission from the Indian team to be exempt from the final test, the T20I series as well as the ODI series against England.

The news of the wedding was given by a plethora of reports but only after the marriage did Bumrah and Sanjana make an announcement. They wrote, ““Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana.”

Jasprit Bumrah took to Twitter today to thank his fans for all the wishes and posted two more pictures to go along with the message. He wrote, “The last few days have been nothing short of absolutely magical! We are so grateful for all the love & wishes we’ve received. Thank you.”

Sanjana Ganesan also took to Twitter to express gratitude. She wrote, “Overwhelmed by all the love we’ve been showered with over the last few days. We’ve been reading all your messages & wishes with the biggest smiles on our faces! Thank you.“

Jasprit Bumrah will be seen in action next for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League. He will be a vital part of the team in their quest for a ‘three-peat’. MI will be favorites with a doubt due to their top quality squad and the near-perfect team combination. They will open their tournament with a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 9.
