With the NFL draft just a few weeks away, excitement is building worldwide. Speculation is rife, with talk of Caleb Williams potentially joining the Chicago Bears gaining momentum. However, another deal that could attract significant media attention is the drafting of Jayden Daniels.

As per sources, speculations are getting high that the quarterback might join the New England Patriots. The recent Heisman Trophy winner is one of the favorites for the top three drafts. On the other hand, the New England Patriots have entered the post-Bill Belichick era. Under the guidance of coach Jerod Mayo, the team is now looking for a new quarterback and Jayden Daniels can be their ideal choice.

In his first Press Conference as the full-time coach for the Patriots, Mayo noted that the team would go for a proper QB. However, they have not decided on anyone. Mac Jones has been traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, hence it is no brainer that the team will go for someone new.

If Daniels gets drafted, he will have to handle ample pressure. Not only because of the sluggish offensive performance of the Patriots but also because he has to step into the shoes of the legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

However, Daniels is not scared. As per the Boston Globe, the quarterback presented a strong case of his confidence ahead of his entry into the professional league.

I played in Death Valley after Joe Burrow. I feel like I’m ready for anything. I’m a game-changer at the quarterback position. That’s what I can bring to that franchise.

Jayden Daniels cleared the air about his NFL team preference

In addition to declaring his readiness to take on the challenge, Daniels dispelled another rumor. Earlier reports suggested that the quarterback was not interested in joining the New England Patriots, but he has denied those rumors.

Same as for everybody--It’s whoever wants to draft me. Whoever believes in me. There’s stuff I can’t control. I can’t control who calls my phone on draft day. So it is what it is. Just the reports out there, sometimes you have to call out cap for people, so that’s what I had to do.

Last season, the Patriots faced significant challenges at the quarterback position, with Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe failing to deliver, and Malik Cunningham departing. Jerod Mayo is determined to resolve these issues for the upcoming season.

Daniels could be the solution to their quarterback concerns. The Heisman Trophy winner demonstrated impressive confidence and performance in college football, amassing 3,182 yards with 40 touchdowns and just four interceptions. His high 72.2% passing completion rate, coupled with his ability to throw deep passes effectively, has caught the attention of analysts.
