To put it bluntly, Jaylen Brown‘s offseason has been quite agitated. Brown was left off Team USA’s selection for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, despite capturing the NBA Finals MVP award and his first NBA title with the Boston Celtics in June. However, this did not stop Brown from fulfilling his side quests: singing a song with rapping legend ASAP Ferg.
The offseason is the ideal time for NBA players to pursue their favorite pastimes, and one common summer hobby is recording in the studio for a new song. This is exactly what Brown and ASAP Ferg did, providing a glimpse of his song “Just Do It,” which will be released at midnight on August 23.
Interestingly, Brown took some shots at his girlfriend, Kysre Gondrezick‘s ex-boyfriend, Kevin Porter Jr. As Brown’s rap went viral, the jab towards Porter Jr. was very evident.
Open your mind and let the words flow, baby you is mine I wanna let the world know. She rocking my jersey all up in the stands… I learned how to touch her [Kysre Gondrezick] without using my hands.

Gondrezick and Porter Jr. had a very abusive relationship, with Porter Jr raising his hands on the WNBA star. In addition, Porter Jr allegedly beat his ex-girlfriend, leaving her with a severe cut over her right eye and covered with blood, as per the prosecution.
Porter Jr. played for the Rockets before being waived and traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder the next day. However, he is back in the NBA, signing with the Los Angeles Clippers, and the matter between him and the WNBA star has been resolved.

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown was snubbed by his nation, Team USA, for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Brown seemed upset at the beginning with the snub but quickly moved on from it. Brown recently opened up on his targets for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season. He claimed that he is ready to go and win another NBA title with the Celtics.
Last year is over, to be honest. We celebrated, we had a good time, it’s been an awesome summer. I’ve been having a great summer, by the way, but it’s over with, and now it’s back to work. Now we got the target on our back, everybody is trying to come after us, and I'm like, 'Come on.' It's back to work and I'm looking forward to next season.Jaylen Brown told NBC Sports Bay Area
