Over the past year and a half, Jaylen Brown has had quite the whirlwind time. He and Jayson Tatum powered the Boston Celtics to their 18th NBA title, with him winning the Finals MVP.

That win felt like redemption after many questioned if he was truly an elite superstar after banking a near $300 million contract extension. Brown seemed to have arrived.

However, Team USA did not think he was valuable enough to be a part of the Avengers super team. They did not even call him up when a spot opened, instead opting for his teammate, Derrick White.

This opened up a can of worms as the forward started taking his rejection as a statement and pointed the finger at Team USA’s management. Along with that came additional rumors of his questionable attitude.

After that fiasco and a failed relationship with former WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick, the 28-year-old started building a narrative around himself as a player who has a better purpose in life apart from basketball.

Those efforts started to change the surrounding narrative, and he was looked at as a humble and grounded basketball player. The Georgia native’s father, however, has now jeopardized his son’s effort.

Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown’s dad — former boxer Marselles Brown — was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a youth football coach in a parking lot dispute.

TMZ Sports revealed

The article reveals that the Las Vegas Metro Police is investigating the incident in which Jaylen Brown’s father is alleged to have stabbed the football coach multiple times. If proven to be true, the former boxer could face serious jail time.

Fans lose their minds after Jaylen Brown’s father stabs football coach

Basketball fans usually get news of Jaylen Brown saying something interesting on podcasts or through social media. Generally, they are eye-opening. But they did not anticipate this news about his father to be as eye-opening as a brutal crime.

Apparently, this incident bore out of a case of mistakenly dinging the victim’s car. Fans believe that for someone whose son is earning $57 million a year, fixing that dent might have been pocket change.

Instead, their true intentions of violence are coming to the fore after Marselles Brown unnecessarily stabbed the victim. Instead of solving the matter then and there, the former boxer is now staring at embarrassment in prison.

His son could also be dragged into it if the victim decides to sue for damages. Fans believe this lack of awareness is going to drag his son’s name through the mud. Check out examples of those reactions below:

Jaylen Brown might go about doing everything he can to get his father’s release. However, a stabbing incident generally points to a criminal intention, and the state might want to lock him up. Either way, the Boston Celtics star’s offseason seems to be ruined.

Jaylen Brown seems to love boxing after meeting Manny Pacquiao

Jaylen Brown might be one of the top basketball players in the NBA, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t shown affinity to other sports. Since his father is a former boxer, he was exposed to that sport since he was a child.

In the offseason, the NBA champion has been traveling to market his sneaker brand. On one of the stops, he happened to meet boxing great Manny Pacquiao.

The Celtics star gave the boxer a signed pair of his shoes. In exchange, Pacquiao gave Brown a pair of boxing gloves, replete with his signature. Brown was all smiles, which almost reveals how he looks up to the Filipino legend.
