Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown’s NSFW taunt bites them back as Donovan Mitchell inspires stunning comeback
Celtics star Jayson Tatum was taught a lesson by his opponent Donovan Mitchell in recent matchup against Cavs.

Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell
The Boston Celtics recently played against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night at the TD Garden. All eyes were on this matchup mostly because it was the #1 vs #2 match in the East. After the start, Celtics stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were ecstatic with their performance in the 1st quarter, and they already started celebrating.
The Celtics had a fantastic start to the game, jumping off to a 25-3 lead shortly after five minutes in. Sadly, they lost by seven, 123-116. Even worse for Tatum, after he sank the three-pointer to give Boston an early 22-point advantage, he was shown on ESPN asking his opponents to “get the f— out of here.” Brown, too, was caught saying something, but the broadcasters did not capture it.
After Tatum’s NFSW response, the Cavs started their comeback, inspired by their captain, Donovan Mitchell. He casually dropped 41 points on the Celtics, and led the Cavaliers. In the last two frames, he scored 26 of his 41 points. In the fourth quarter, this included scoring 12 points. Down the stretch, the Celtics just didn’t have an answer for him.

Although it was Tatum who scored the highest points on the court, he was on the losing side. Tatum recorded a whopping 46 points against the Cavs. In addition, Brown had 37 points, but their performances went in vain. The fans claimed the two stars learnt a valuable lesson on Friday: Never to celebrate early before the game is won.
Despite losing, Jayson Tatum made NBA history in the Cavs matchup
Jayson Tatum finished with 46 points, 16 rebounds, and 9 assists in a fantastic game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. In addition, he had a historic first half. He is now the only player in at least the last quarter-century to finish with 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in a half.
The official NBA account took to X to praise Tatum. In his first 20 minutes of action, Tatum shot 11/17 from the field and 4/8 from three-point range. He finished with 30 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and one block.
Jayson Tatum’s first half was one for the history books. That’s the first time in the play-by-play era (1997-98) that those numbers have been reached in ANY half.
