NBA star Jayson Tatum has been living the high life, especially with how his career has been progressing recently. Tatum won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, adding to his prestigious 2024 NBA title with the Boston Celtics. He isn’t slowing down, as he recently got a new tattoo commemorating his NBA championship.

The tattoo, made public on Thursday, shows Tatum holding and kissing the Larry O’Brien Trophy. After defeating the Dallas Mavericks in five games, the Celtics secured their 18th championship. Tatum, 26, has also been adding new ink since last offseason, including a tattoo of the MVP award Kobe Bryant won, which he revealed during the All-Star Game.

Jayson Tatum did not perform up to his usual standards in the first two games of the 2024 NBA Finals against the Mavericks, scoring just 34 points on 12-38 shooting. However, he bounced back in the last three games, averaging 25.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and shooting 43.3 percent from the field.

Despite his improvement, it was his teammate, Jaylen Brown, who won the NBA Finals MVP for his outstanding performances against the Mavericks. In the past, Tatum has expressed that he’s happy to be a “team player” and prioritizes winning with his team. However, in a recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ Tatum stated his intent to challenge for the NBA MVP award.

Jayson Tatum made his intentions clear regarding the Boston Celtics

Even after taking home the NBA title this year, Jayson Tatum seems unfinished. His goal is to win more titles with the Boston Celtics. He has been a crucial player for the Celtics and is loved and admired by the fans in Boston. Tatum recently discussed his long-term objectives and hopes for the next campaign.

Tatum gave a detailed description of his career goals in a chat with Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe. The former champion talked about the respect he gets from Celtics supporters and underlined his resolve to stick with the organization.

I’ll spend my whole career here and have got nothing but love for the fans, the city, and the organization.

Tatum, who is still among the league’s most deadly forwards, is about to enter his prime. He and Jaylen Brown are among the most challenging duos in the league.

With the same team heading into the new campaign, the Boston Celtics are strong favorites to win it all again. The Celtics’ path to the title may be more difficult this year because the Eastern Conference is relatively stronger than it was the previous season.
