The NBA offseason is still ongoing and as such NBA champion Jayson Tatum and Philadelphia 76ers guard Paul George were in attendance to support American tennis ace Taylor Fritz at the US Open men’s final. The two NBA stars weren’t the only sports stars present as they were joined in the arena by NFL Super Bowl champions, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.

Kelce was in the company of his fiance, Taylor Swift, who has made it a routine to make time for the things her man loves doing despite her busy schedule. This is coming off the back of the women’s final that had Steph Curry and Ayesha Curry in attendance at the ground.

The challenger, Taylor Fritz, was aiming to make history with his first Grand Slam title. However, it wasn’t his day as he lost in straight sets to the number one-ranked tennis player, Jannik Sinner. Earlier in the tournament, Fritz had defeated fellow American Frances Tiafoe, famous for boldly claiming Jalen Brunson could be bigger than Jay Z.

With the new NBA season fast approaching, both players have a point to prove with Jayson Tatum eager to retain their championship title and Paul George to get his hands on an NBA title while he still can. The Celtics begin their title defense against the Denver Nuggets, while the 76ers pay a visit to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jayson Tatum celebrate Donovan Mitchell on his birthday

It was an exciting moment as the rivalry was kept aside while brotherhood was brought to the forefront when Jayson Tatum took the moment to celebrate with Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell on the occasion of his birthday. Both players were drafted at the same time with The Spida being picked by the Utah Jazz at number 13 and Tatum picked by the Boston Celtics at number three.

Outside the court, JT and Mitchell have a great relationship, and his recent post only demonstrates that. They met in last season’s playoffs with the C’s emerging with the win in five games against an injury-depleted Cavs.

Tatum averaged 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists while shooting 47.1% from the field and 37.6% beyond the arc. In comparison, the five-time NBA All-Star, Mitchell averaged 26.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists, shooting 46.2% from the field and 36.8% from the three-point line
