Jayson Tatum publicly calls out Giannis Antetokoumpo’s ‘flagrant’ foul after tense matchup
Celtics star Jayson Tatum has been garnering alot of attention after his recent social media activity towards Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Boston Celtics made a spectacular comeback following their defeat by the Warriors last week. Their most recent victories were over the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks. At the Fiserv Forum, the Celtics defeated the Bucks by a slim margin of 107-113. During the game, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Bucks and Jayson Tatum of the Celtics had a heated exchange.
For context, the game included several heated moments between the opposing teams. In the third quarter, Antetokounmpo aggressively closed out on a three-pointer from Tatum. He landed on Tatum’s ankle leaving the Celtics star without a landing place, hurting him. Tatum seemed visibly frustrated with this and called him out publicly on X.
In addition, Tatum also opened up to the reports after the game, claiming that the referees were at fault. He also stated that ‘the coaches had to calm him down’ after Antetokounmpo’s foul on him. The Celtics vs. Bucks rivalry remains a big one in the Eastern Conference.

Additionally, Tatum finished the game with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists following the near-injury incident with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Payton Prichard scored 18 points off the bench, while Jrue Holiday and Derrick White both scored 15 points. It remains to be seen how the Celtics perform in their upcoming matches this 2024-25 NBA season.
Joe Mazzulla weighed in on Refs missed foul call against Jayson Tatum
Bucks star Giannis Antetokunmpo made the headlines for all the unwanted reasons in the recent matchup. Antetokounmpo fouled Jayson Tatum, which left him in much pain during the game. However, the referees did not issue a foul, as they missed it.
Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla was furious with this ignorance of the NBA referees for not calling a foul against Tatum. Eventually, the Celtics won the game, and the Bucks could not get past their miserable start to the season. However, Mazzulla made sure to furiously comment about the foul on Tatum.

As for the Bucks, Antetokounmpo scored 43 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, and dished out five assists, making the Bucks a one-man army. However, his teammate Damian Lillard had a poor performance as per his standards. Only 14 points were scored by the point guard, which left the Bucks with a poor loss against the 2024 NBA Champions.
