Boston Red Sox star Rafael Devers caught some wild strays from MLB fans online after New York Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. made a huge decision. The Yankees star agreed to move to the third base position as he tries to get ready for a return to major league action.
The 27-year-old had been out of action for a while due to an injury. Prior to this setback, he was playing at the second base position.
On Thursday, the former Miami Marlins star claimed that he was given the choice to play at 2B or 3B. However, he chose to play as the third baseman as his manager, Aaron Boone indicated that.
(Boone) told me that he wanted me at third base. He really wanted me at third base. I’m a team guy, I’m here to win a ring, I’m not here to fight over positions.
Chisholm Jr. has played in the second base, shortstop, and outfield positions with the Marlins. He has over 196 career games of experience as a 2B, 192 games as a center fielder, 46 as a shortstop, and 45 as a 3B.
