This Saturday, John Cena will step into the Elimination Chamber with CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, and Logan Paul. With the event less than a week away, many people, now including John Bradshaw Layfield, aka JBL, have started to give their predictions for the same.

Speaking on Something to Wrestle, JBL said that he was wrong when he predicted Cena to win the Royal Rumble. Regardless, he loved Jey Uso and was happy to see him win the Rumble. Furthermore, he thought that WWE had pulled off this surprise wonderfully. However, he was now once again predicting that the 16x World Champion would go on to the main event of WrestleMania, this time by winning the Chamber.

Layfield brought up the promo that Cena cut during the Royal Rumble post-show press conference. The former WWE Champion said that this promo was magnificent, and there is no one else like the Hollywood superstar. Furthermore, he said that the promotion should throw him a bone and reward him for all his years of hard work.

That promo he cut was just magnificent, and there’s only one like him. I think throw him a bone. I hope he goes over. I’m excited that he’s there.

JBL on Something to Wrestle

As many know, Cena and JBL are old rivals with a lot of history in WWE. In fact, the erstwhile Doctor of Thuganomics won his first-ever WWE Championship by beating Layfield at WrestleMania 21. It is incredible to see that exactly 20 years later, his old rival is now rooting for him to once again go to WrestleMania and win another world title, this time to break the record.

Bully Ray wants to see John Cena go up against Joe Hendry

Joe Hendry has repeatedly stated that he would like to get in the ring with John Cena, possibly for his TNA World Championship. While this idea sounds totally insane, it is possible thanks to the WWE-TNA partnership. While these crossovers have only been limited to NXT for now, the companies may expand the scope of this partnership soon, considering that even The Hardy Boyz are scheduled for a main roster run.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said that there was no good reason for this match to happen. Cena should beat Hendry, and then a month or two later, the TNA World Champion should get his win back. He understood that the Cenation leader only had 33 dates left after the Elimination Chamber but still thought that it was worth doing.

I really hope that that match with John Cena happens, with the relationship that the WWE and “NXT” has with TNA.

Bully Ray on Busted Open Radio

Bully Ray said that breathing life back into professional wrestling is not just about breathing life back into WWE. Rather, they should be trying to get TNA back to where it once used to be. If John Cena could help do that, then it is totally worth it to create a healthier pro wrestling landscape.
