I've got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I'm going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I'm grateful for that.
See ya in a bit. 🤘🏻
As soon as McDonagh struck the table, Michael Cole immediately called the ringside doctor to check up on the Judgment Day member. Furthermore, the 34-year-old was taken to a hospital right after the match. Fans also commended him for finishing the entire match even after going through something so brutal.
JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio lose out on World Tag Team Championship opportunity on Raw
The latest episode of Raw featured Judgment Day, comprising JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio, challenging the War Raiders for the World Tag Team Championship. Very early on in the match, the 34-year-old suffered his injury but somehow pulled through till the end.
In fact, McDonagh did not slow down at all throughout the match. Not only did he keep up his regular face, but he continued to take bumps, such as a knee directly to his neck. He also hit an enzugiri and a snap power slam on Erik for a near fall.
Carlito stepped in to create a distraction, spitting an apple in Ivar‘s face. The former NXT North American Champion hit a 619 and tagged in his partner. McDonagh attempted another moonsault, this time successfully connecting inside the ring. The Latino superstar then went for a frog splash, but Erik broke it up. War Raiders fought back into the match, hit a War Machine on Dominik Mysterio, and retained the World Tag Team Championship.
