The Judgment Day had quite an interesting showing at Backlash. Damian Priest was involved in a match against Jey Uso. During it, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh came to the aid of their fellow stablemate. Fired up by the interference, Michael Cole called out McDonagh on commentary, claiming he has a Klingon-like head. Lashing out at this, The Judgment Day member savagely hit back at the WWE legend.
Taking the matter to X, JD McDonagh posted a glimpse of the infamous backstage segment involving Michael Cole and Jon Heidenreich from SmackDown 2004. It was a subtle reminder to the WWE veteran about the strange s*xual assault arc between him and Heidenreich back in the day. Keeping that in context, McDonagh tried to mock Cole after his hilarious remark about his appearance at Backlash.
.@MichaelCole loves talking shit but I'm old enough to remember when it was him getting it weekly on TV, so it doesn't phase me. Gotta pay it back, right?JD McDonagh on X
The remarks by the WWE legend at Backlash made the rounds online. For context, Klingon are characters in the Star Trek franchise who have large heads, like The Judgment Day member. McDonagh also had a bandage on his forehead, which added more to Cole’s hilarious comparison.
The 34-year-old actually came in to help Damian Priest. However, the World Heavyweight Champion fired back at him unceremoniously. It was a subtle tease of a possible breakup of The Judgment Day. Speaking of JD, there have been a number of incidents where he has been similarly insulted. It is going to be interesting to see what a cranked-up McDonagh would do after the events that transpired at Backlash.
JD McDonagh showcased his scars after last week’s Raw
Last week on Raw, JD McDonagh was at a bitter end. While they were anticipating an attack on Jey Uso, Logan Paul mistakenly hit The Judgment Day member. The punch was so bad that it left a scar on McDonagh’s face. Following the events of Raw, the 34-year-old showed the WWE Universe a closer look at his scars on social media.
The Irish-born wrestler posted a picture of his nasty scars with a hilarious demand. He asked the United States Champion to send a crate of PRIME for his mistake. Paul had asked Patrick Mahomes for his Super Bowl rings, hoping to use them as a weapon to ambush Jey. However, it turned out to be a bad night for JD, as he ended up at the receiving end of the rings later on.
Moreover, even on Raw, his head looked gnarly. Although it was a gruesome scene, it was a hilarious sight as well. McDonagh is an incredible talent, and it seems like WWE is moving forward with The Judgment Day breakup plan. Hence, it might finally be time for a singles run for him on the main roster soon.
