JD McDonagh suffers nasty landing on Raw [via- Intuit Dome]

On this week’s episode of Raw, The Judgment Day cashed in their rematch clause for the World Tag Team Championships. Amidst Finn Balor‘s absence, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh took on The War Raiders. As expected, the action was fast-paced between the two teams. However, the pace of the match almost turned catastrophic as McDonagh took a nasty bump at ringside.

The 34-year-old star delivered a moonsault on the outside to Ivar. Although he executed the move perfectly, McDonagh’s head bounced awkwardly on the announce table in the aftermath. While he suffered a dangerous landing, McDonagh was able to finish the match without any issue. The War Raiders successfully defended their titles against McDonagh and Mysterio despite the usual Judgment Day shenanigans.

Sean Ross Sapp provided an update on McDonagh’s current status after the match on X. As per Sapp, Triple H had asked McDonagh whether he was fine backstage. Additionally, medical officials and staff checked in on the former World Tag Team Champion. Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer and backstage producer Michael Hayes jokingly asked whether the announce table was okay.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that JD McDonagh has been in such dangerous situations. In fact, the Irish wrestler is known for his high-flying moves and occasional gnarly bumps. Most notably, McDonagh flew from the top of the WarGames structure right into an RKO by Randy Orton at the 2023 Survivor Series PLE. However, last night’s landing left the WWE Universe concerned for The Judgment Day member.

Fans were pleased to see JD McDonagh finishing the match after suffering a nasty landing on the outside on Raw. Most users were terrified to see such a nasty bump, that too on the head. Some thought that the 34-year-old star had likely suffered a concussion as well. However, WWE has yet to provide an official update on McDonagh.

A few fans heaped praise on The Judgment Day member, claiming that he was long overdue for a push. In fact, one user called for WWE to split him from the faction and turn him face. Due to the gnarly-looking bump, another fan joked that he had taken lessons from WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.

Meanwhile, a user pointed out how even Michael Cole sounded genuinely concerned on commentary. Needless to say, the WWE Universe is hoping that McDonagh is fine and is awaiting his health updates.
